Have you ever gotten caught in a dare? A dare is when someone
challenges you to do something you probably would not normally do. Often times
the other person is daring you because they don’t have the courage to do so
themselves.
For the Lord is
righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. Psalm 11:7
(NIV)
But then there are dares so daring that the person says, “I
will if you will.” In the case of our Scripture, God has already revealed to us
what He loves. Even though He does not dare us to do things (He gives us a free
will), we are still to love the things He
loves and hate the things He hates. Because He is righteous, He loves
things that are just and right. When we begin to immolate Him and become more
like Him, He promises we will see His face. What an awesome place to be, in the
face of the Father. It is in that place secrets are revealed, miracles are
manifested and we ourselves are made whole.
Let’s love what He
loves so we can do right and see His face!
