Picture a coffee table missing one of its legs. But in place
of its original leg, it has been replaced with a book or two to prevent the articles
on the table from falling to the floor. This can be referred to as a “temporary
fix.” It does the job, but only for a moment.
Peace I leave with
you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let
your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
This is what the world’s peace is like. It produces false
hope. It masquerades as the real deal, but all the while it will let you down
the moment anything heavy rests upon it. I am grateful today that I have
accepted the peace of God! This peace will keep you in the midst of a raging storm.
It will surpass the thought pattern and understanding of man. This peace does
not come from the world but from God and it is necessary to have at all times
while we are here on this earth.
Do you have the peace of God or are you working with a
temporary fix?
Your thoughts?
