Procrastination –to put off doing something, especially out
of habitual carelessness or laziness; to postpone or delay needlessly
Whoever watches the
wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. Ecclesiastes
11:4
This Scripture is helping me this morning! It is reminding
us, if we wait for perfect conditions, we will never get anything done. Often
times I neglect things because I feel it’s not as important as others or I feel
overwhelmed. But needless to say, it still needs to get done. Don’t get me
wrong, I do prioritize but I know when I move past that and straight into procrastination. The truth is, if we
wait for everything to be aligned, we will eventually miss out on things and
ultimately cause others to miss out as well, since what we do can and does
affect others.
Prior to giving my life to Christ, I believed I wasn’t ready
to do so (get saved) because I had not stopped doing things that displeased
Him. I later found out, I didn’t have the strength to do it without the working
of the Holy Spirit (sanctifying me) anyway. We must not put things off for
whatever reason, but rather get er’ done!
There are books to be written, businesses to be opened, ministries to be
birthed and lives to be saved!
Purpose in your spirit to
get er’ done today!
