Where Lies Your Confidence?

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the Lord said unto Satan, whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8 And the Lord said unto Satan, hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 1-6-8

In today’s text we see that God has great confidence in Job, so much so that He asked Satan if he tried (tested) Job. I am certain that as children of God, we are experiencing storms in our lives that are tempting us to waver in our faith. But I say to us ALL, don’t be moved by what you may be experiencing, but rather stand strong, knowing that God has allowed this to come our way, because He has confidence in US!

The question today is do we have that same confidence in our God? If you know this to be true then our response to what is going on in our lives should most assuredly represent that. I know that some of the trials we are facing now are much harder than those we’ve previously experienced, but know that there’s nothing too hard for our God.

Do you know where your confidence lies today? Is it in a God who cannot fail or is it in mere man?

Your thoughts?

  1. Hope thou in God. I will yet praise Him! Some trust in chariots and horses (their job, their bank, account, the government, their parents, their education) BUT I will rememeber the LORD my God who brought me up out of Egypt into a wealthy place. My confidence is in Yahweh!
