His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3
I'm sure many of us have heard the phrase "your life may be the only bible people read." Although it's not written in Scripture verbatim, it does have some validity to it. The life we live not only acts as a testament of what we've experienced, it also speaks of who we say we represent. If you're constantly participating in the daily chew about others, using manipulation to get your way or if chaos follows you wherever you go, then the absence of Christ is represented in your. If this is you, please know there is still hope: and this hope comes through the acceptance of Christ's finished work at Calvary.
Our text informs us that we have divine power given to us by Christ to lead a godly life. This power enables us to fight against our human nature which wants to perform acts contrary to God's nature. This power strengthens us in areas where we are weak, and gives us victory over our flesh. Don't think for a moment, if you're in Christ, that you don't have what you need to succeed as a child of God. We have EVERYTHING we need, not only to cause change in our lives, but in the lives of others as well.
Your thoughts!
