Have you ever been in a place, spiritually, where it seemed as though you were being pulled on every side? Have you experienced what appeared to be an "overload" of tasks that others have asked you to accomplish? If your answer is yes to either of these two questions, then you're not alone. My next question is "what have you done" in those instances? Did you break under the pressure or give in to others' expectations of your time?
Keep in mind some of us are busy due to poor planning, while others are busy because we want to impress others with the idea of our busyness. In either case there is no profit.
The Scripture Proverbs 3:5-6 comes to mind. It reads, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path.
The true question is can God trust us with time? To everything under the sun there is a time and a season and within that time and season, purpose is being fulfilled. Another question; who's purpose? God's or ours? The next time you look at your schedule, check to see if you have first acknowledged God so that He can plan your day. You may find you will get a lot more done in less time.
